PMR464-12 Romania, Moldavia, Iasi (pronounced "Yash"): the capital of Moldavia and of Romania from 1859-62, and third largest city of Romania, is a rich cultural centre. Church of the Three Hierarchs, built in 1635-9 by Vasile Lupu, has been destroyed several times but always faithfully rebuilt, surviving the rest of the monastery.
