Caption: | Iran, Isfahan: Kakh-e Ali Qapu (Ali Qapu Palace) was builtat the end of the 16th century as a residence for Shah Abbas I. It is six storeys high and has an elevated terrace whose roof is supported by 18 slender columns. (At present under scaffolding). Red and blue floral decorations on the domed ceiling of one of the rooms. |
