Caption: | Iran, Isfahan: Kakh-e Ali Qapu (Ali Qapu Palace) was builtat the end of the 16th century as a residence for Shah Abbas I. It is six storeys high and has an elevated terrace whose roof is supported by 18 slender columns. (At present under scaffolding). The roof of the music room is overlaid with cut-outs representing vases, to improve accoustics. |
