PMR648-09 Libya, Tripolitania: ruins of the ancient city of Leptis Magna. The city was founded by Phoenician colonists about 1100 BC but became part of the Roman Empire when Carthage fell in the Third Punic War, in 146 BC. It became the largest and most prosperous city in Roman Africa. Now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The outer wall of the New Forum of Septimius Severus which he laid out between 193 and 211 AD to replace the old forum.
