Founded ca. 100 AD, flourished 300 to 650, abandoned by 750 AD. Identity of the builders is unknown. The Aztecs believed it was the work of giants. Four-stepped pyramid in the Citadel, behind which the temple of Qutzalcoatl was uncovered in 1920. |
