Known as the centre of German humanism, Martin Luther studied and preached here 1505-11. Here: "Kunsthalle", a patrician house with Renaissance facade, known as the "Haus zum Roten Ochsen" (1562), with St. Martin, dressed as a Roman legionnaire, on his ornate column. |
