PMR626-08 Spain, Lanzarote: Teguise, the former capital of the island until 1852, when the port of Arrecife took on that role, is one of the oldest towns in the Canary Islands, having been founded in 1418 by Maciot de Bethencourt. A number of well preserved historic buildings are to be found in the old centre. Here, the Parish Church of San Miguel/Nuestra Senora de Guadelupe, dating back to the mid 15th century.
