PMR392-04 New Zealand, North Island, Rotorua, Waiotapu Thermal Area: "Emerald Pool", in the crater of a dormant (?) volcano, contains large clumps of spaghnum moss which grow in the cold water. Before the eruption of 10.06.1886 this whole area was normal countryside - rolling scrub-covered hills.
