Founded ca. 100 AD, flourished 300 to 650, abandoned by 750 AD. Identity of the builders is unknown. The Aztecs believed it was the work of giants. Reconstructed patio in the Palace of the Quetzalpapalotl (Quetzal-Butterfly), decorated with stylized Quetzal birds and/or owls, and butterflies.
