PMR533-02 Iraq, Hatra: a great Arab city, founded in the 3rd century BC after the fall of the Assyrian empire in 612 BC and Babylon in 539 BC. The buildings combine elements of Hellenistic/Roman and Syrian architecture: well-preserved Temple of Marn (the sun god), built after 80 AD, as were all the principal remaining buildings.
